Tuition and Courses
| Does the fee cover accommodations and meals? | The tuition fee includes lunches, but accommodations are not covered. MTC does not offer accommodation services.
The tuition fee covers the expenses derived from the activities between 9:00 a.m. ~ 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. For safety reasons, it is suggested individual applicants stay with family, or stay at a recommended location with their parents. |
| Dose the fee cover tour expenses or insurance? | The tuition fee covers the expenses derived from the activities between 9:00 a.m. ~ 4:30 p.m., includes lunches, textbooks, TA, field trips (NOT including the cost of the snacks or souvenirs which are bought by the students), basic group accident insurance and administration fees are covered. (MTC still recommends parents purchase overseas insurance in their home countries to give students better protection.)
The fee do not include air tickets, accommodation and campus transportation fees. For safety reasons, it is suggested student travel and stay with parents or family. MTC does not offer accommodation services and airport pick-up and drop-off services. |
| Does the fee cover airport pick-up service? | MTC doesn't provide airport pick-up service. |
| How do you place students in classes? Will it be appropriate for my children's Chinese proficiency level? | The placement test, student orientation, and parent conference are held of each session. Students are placed into a suitable class based on their Chinese proficiency level and age. The Program is designed for students whose Chinese is a second Language. If your child is a local student or his/her four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are approximately native level, we suggest he/she apply to programs for local students. |
| Should my child attend class when a typhoon strikes? Are there any make-up classes? | No make-up class will be held and no refund will be made for course cancellation due to force majeure (such as typhoons or natural disasters.) Class cancellations follow announcements made by the Taipei City Government. |
| Is it necessary to participate in the field trips? If an activity is cancelled due to force majeure, is it possible to postpone it? | Your child can choose to withdraw from field trips if you think the activity is unfit for him/her to attend. No refund will be made and no accommodations are offered for parents who wish to accompany their children on the trip. The MTC reserves the right to adjust the class schedules and activities. The MTC may cancel tours without any make-up or date-change due to safety concerns (such as typhoons or natural disasters.) |
